Day 13 of our Visit to Australia and New Zealand

Visited to Wellington Point and Moreton Bay Marine Park.

Here is an approximate map of our day. As is is, Google does not have train routes and the mapping does not allow for a combination of walking and bus/car. This map does, hwever, show where were traveled on this day. We walked to the train station and then took a train to Wellington Point. We walked through the Geoff Skinner Reserve and through the town. We walked up the main road to a park with a tidal land bridge to an island.

After lunch, we walked to the end of the point. Fortunately it was low tide and we were able to walk to the island which would have been inaccessible at higher tides. Above, you can see the path to the island.

The left picture is an ibis looking for food.

Along the way to the island, the terrain was split, on one side (as per the image to the right) it was loaded with shells and on the other side, there were crabs everywhere.
