Here is the Dunedin Railway Station (See Wiki). We had 1:30pm tickets and arrived early. We wandered around the train station and - guess - took pictures.

There are many great parks around Dunedin. Here is a skateboard park that looked to be popular with the kids. At the left, Justin is acting smug about skateboarding. The photo at the right is Peter - he does smile a lot, but it isn't often that this is captured.

The train went over a few old wooden bridges. While crossing the bridge, we were encouraged to go in between the cars and look down between the rails. It was a long way down.

We saw quite a few of these amazing spider's nests. The spiders shown are some species of nursery-web spiders.

If you happen to have Google Earth, there is a 3D feature that you can use to trace our approximate route. You can get there by selecting "View Larger Map" above; scan to where the page indicates "Walking directions to Pukerangi, New Zealand"; to the right is a 3D button, select it. This is not the actual route that the rail took, but Google Earth does take you through some of the same terrain. If you do not have Google Earth, you can still enjoy the satellite view.

After arriving back in Dunedin, we had a few tense moments while Justin tries to get directions home from the grocery store.
