We took a scenic route along Highway 27 through Matamata for our journey from Rotorua to
the Auckland airport. Eventually we travelled along a big bay called the Firth of Thames. We were
less than an hour from Auckland on a Saturday, there was very little traffic so we pulled off
the highway and had a picnic lunch. This was a very fitting end to our time in New Zealand.

Also, here are some pages by special topic:

A beautiful beach along the West shore of the Hauraki Gulf.

We don't know what this is, but I hope that someone who sees this picture can tell us.

Cows crossing the road.

Most of the non-beach, non-mountainous land in the north is farmed.

We saw lots and lots of amazing hedges.

This tank of gas cost over $100nz.
Fortunately the island is small enough that we only needed
to do a complete refill of the tank twice.
