Our 2009 European Trip, July 30th, Day 11

Today we ventured out into the Czech country-side and visited TerezÍn. The town is mostly known for its Theresienstadt concentration camp. The city is near the confluence of the Labe and Ohře Rivers, and was named it after Empress Maria Theresa. The dominant architectural feature was the fortress which was built during the late 18th century the Hapsburg Monarchy.

Lunch. We had a big lunch including traditional dumplings and duck. We had wanted to have a solid traditional meal and we felt like this one fit that bill.
